In this mini quests chain of cutscenes, we're given a lead up to the events of the major "New War" quest. Through these cutscenes, we see that Ballas has been revived as a half-sentient abomination. We're also introduced to Erra, Lotus' brother and, by extension, Hunhow's son. He seems to have kidnapped Ballas in the beginning of these cutscenes, but by the end of the sequence, it appears that they've been working together. They've been manipulating and using Lotus the whole time they've been interacting with her, and intend to use her latent energy to wake up the dead sentient mothership to further their interests. In the end of this sequence, they attack Lotus and begin draining her essence to feed the mothership.
