We're given a vision of Lotus' resting place. Despite not being there in person, we see plainly as Ballas walks in and begins interacting with the Lotus. Ballas is an ancient Orokin leader who was in charge of creating the warframes, in addition to many other things. He has somehow survived the Orokin extinction and made his way to the origin system where the Tenno and Lotus are currently stationed. Additionally, Ballas had a failed relationship with Margulis, one half of Lotus' personality, that she was completely unaware of. In the end, Ballas was the cause of Margulis' death. He is a really bad dude in case that wasn't obvious. Now, he's come back to reclaim what he believes to be his. In a manner of a few quick words, Ballas uses his Orokin influence to pull the Lotus out of her throne and kidnap her, leaving us shocked and alone. For now, this is how this ends.
