Upon reaching Uranus, the tenno's normal missions are interrupted by the appearance of strange drones of an unknown origin. You sneak up to these drones, observing as they diligently scan the area, seemingly looking for something. The lotus is intrigued by these drones, and following your extraction after encountering these drones, you're drawn to a mission on Earth. The lotus wants you to tail these drones to Earth to gather more information on them. This mission goes according to plan, until you stumble upon the remains of an Old War sentient dropship. Lotus instantly freaks out and abandons the operation, leaving you stranded there and without information as she disconnects from the call for an unknown reason.

With Lotus having abandoned you, Teshin steps in and seizes the opportunity to gather information. He wants to understand who the Lotus is, and why this situation has affected her like it has. After some time, the Lotus reappears in your communication feed in a panicked state insisting that you need to stop Tyl Regor from entering an ancient tomb that he has uncovered in his investigation into the sentient drones.

We arrive late to this operation, with Tyl Regor having already woken whatever was sleeping. This slumbering demon was Hunhow, the sentient destroyer of world. He immediately opens the communications with us and pulls the Lotus into the limelight, revealing many things about the Lotus' past. This is a long section of dialogue, but in basic terms:

 

For one, it is revealed that the Lotus' old, and perhaps true, name was Natah, and that she was the sentient daughter of Hunhow. It's revealed that Natah was ordered to manipulate the Tenno (YOU) in the Old War to turn you against your Orokin masters in a bid to end the war. She succeeds in manipulating the Tenno, but instead of killing them, she grows to truly love them over time. She abandons the sentients and turns her back on everything to smuggle the Tenno somewhere safe. Hunhow, now awakened, vows to finish what was started all those years ago and kill the Tenno.
