The War Within

The quest begins with a cutscene featuring two new characters we've never seen before. These are the Grineer Queens, the two sickly Orokin at the helm of the Grineer forces. In their throne room, we seem them musing about how the Tenno's reawakening is of great benefit to them, but for now, we're unsure of why that could be. â€‹â€‹â€‹

From our perspective now, we've been deployed to Lua to investigate a strange disturbance. We proceed as normal until we find Teshin. Though acting a little abnormal, he's not hostile. After exchanging some words, he runs off and warns us not to follow him. Of course, we don't listen to this. Following him closely, we arrive at the Kuva Fortress. This is a massive floating base that serves as the heart of the Grineer empire and the capital ship housing the Queens' thrones. The Lotus advises us to turn around, and we don't.

We proceed through the base until we sneak into the throne room, shocked to see Teshin already there. More worryingly, he's bowing before the twin queens as they refer to him as Teshin Dax. He's been instructed to bring us to the Queens, but instead, they want our physical form, not our warframe. Clearly, they know our secret. In a long scene, they destroy our mind link with our warframe.

In a long set piece of introspection aided by Teshin, we have to learn to fight without the aid of warframe, relying only on our void powers to survive. By the end of this scene, you unlock your true long dormant Tenno powers, and can link with your warframe without needing to sit in your transference throne. Now able to swap between your warframe and your operator at will, you transfer into your warframe, still located in the Grineer Queens' throne room. We arrive, vengeful and newly empowered, and break the Kuva Scepter: a weapon that's been allowing the Queens to control Teshin. Upon breaking the staff and restoring Teshin's freedom, we work together to kill the elder Queen.

We are then givn the choice to destroy, consume, or control the Kuva located within the remains of the staff. Regardless of your choice, you are teased by some unknown forcing possessing your body and staring back at you with black eyes. It insists that you owe them, and that you made a deal. For now, that's all we know of this ending.
